Two Victims Named in the Ivy League School Attack as Police Press On With Hunt for Killer.

Two students who lost their lives in the weekend's tragic incident in Providence had tributes paid to them on Monday – amid a widespread hunt for their shooter persisted following the discharge by local law enforcement of the sole person questioned in the case.

Tributes for Ella Cook

The young woman Ella Cook, a sophomore from Alabama, was called “an incredible, grounded, faithful, bright light”, as stated by the Birmingham's Cathedral Church of the Advent, which honored her memory at a gathering on Sunday.

Cook was second-in-command of Brown’s chapter of College Republicans of America, as the club stated. Karoline Leavitt also posted sympathies publicly, remarking: “Words cannot express. Remembering her family and friends, particularly her mother and father.”

MukhammadAziz Umurzokov

The second fatality was MukhammadAziz Umurzokov, an Uzbek national in his first year of studies at the Ivy League university, his family confirmed.

The victim's identification was officially acknowledged by the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“He was exceptionally gentle, witty, and bright. He harbored grand aspirations of entering the field of neurosurgery and aiding others,” his sister, Samira Umurzokova said in a memorial statement.

Details of the Attack

An additional nine individuals were hurt in the weekend shooting in the engineering department of Brown’s university in Providence, during the institution's end-of-term tests.
